The game is a multiplayer first-person shooter released in August 2012. It has been developed for over two years by Valve Corporation and Hidden Path and is still a successful global esport game despite the same games competing for the FPS crown. In general terms, CSGO is a battle between two teams, Counter-Terrorists (CT) and Terrorists, that must complete objectives while attempting to eliminate the opposing team on a game map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Every round is a 5v5 battle that lasts for 1 min 55 secs. Every match is 30 rounds where the first team to reach 16 rounds wins that specific map. You cannot change the team on your own after 15 rounds played, the teams switch sides automatically. If the match ends in a 15-15 tie, there will be announced overtime. The game may end faster if the opponent team throws in the towel;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Each match is usually played in a BO1, BO2, BO3 or BO5 format (it means ‘Best of 1 map”). If it is a small competition or group stages, BO1 is a standard match type.
